These terms cover your use of Journey. They're meant to be fair and readable — Journey is a personal journaling app, and these terms reflect that.
Journey (the "app") is provided by Peekeasy LLC, a Washington State limited liability company ("Peekeasy," "we," "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
License
We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use Journey on devices you own or control, for your own journaling. Journey purchased through the Mac App Store is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Your content is yours
You own everything you write. Journey stores your entries on your device and, if you enable sync, in your own iCloud account. We don't claim any rights to your content, and we don't access, monitor, or use it. You are responsible for your content and for keeping your own backups (the app can export a full backup at any time).
Acceptable use
Please don't use Journey to break the law, or attempt to reverse‑engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law or the applicable store terms.
Availability & updates
We may update, change, or discontinue the app or features over time. Sync relies on Apple's iCloud and your own hardware and network, which are outside our control.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or that data will never be lost — keep your own backups.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peekeasy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict‑of‑laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington.
Changes
We may update these terms; we'll change the date at the top and post the new version here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
